JULIE Contract Changes - Meetings and In-Person Voting
September 23, 2022 - Earlier this week, IBEW Local Union 21 announced a new tentative agreement was reached with JULIE. This update contains information on contract presentation meetings, in-person voting, and changes made to the agreement.

Wednesday, September 21, 2022 - IBEW Local Union 21 has reached a tentative agreement for our members working at the JULIE One-Call Center in Joliet. Your IBEW 21 representatives are preparing information detailing the contractual changes, ratification and union meeting information for our members to review.
Tuesday, September 20, 2022 - AT&T has declared a surplus of four employees represented by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 21 (IBEW 21). While this is a very small surplus there is a potential that there will be limited opportunities for Voluntary Separation Packages (VSIPP) available to eligible employees who are not affected by the surplus.
If you would like to save the job of someone whose job is at risk, your VSIPP application must be electronically submitted by 5 p.m. (CST) on Wednesday, September 21, 2022.
JULIE negotiations have been advancing since talks started last week. Your IBEW 21 bargaining team has passed progressive proposals and reviewed management’s propositions and we presented our counter proposals. We all must stand in solidarity as talks continue this week to reach a new deal for our contract that expires on November 15, 2022.

Illinois Worker’s Rights Amendment
IBEW members across Illinois have the opportunity to change our Constitution by voting in favor of the Illinois Worker’s Rights Amendment. The Workers’ Rights Amendment will be the first question on the November ballot.
Bargaining with JULIE management is scheduled to begin this week. The IBEW 21 Bargaining team has reviewed the contract surveys our members submitted. They have been prepping for bargaining and constructing proposals based on the survey results.
We would like to thank all of our JULIE members who took time to become involved in negotiations by sharing their thoughts in the bargaining survey. It will take the solidarity of all our members to reach a fair contract. We all must stand in solidarity!
Thursday, September 1, 2022 - The membership of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers System Council T-3 employed by AT&T have voted overwhelmingly to accept the tentative agreement that was reached on July 30, 2022.
IBEW Local Union 21 has posted the 2022 Gallatin River - Lumen Bargaining survey on our website.
It is designed to be completed by all current IBEW 21 members working at Gallatin River - Lumen. We are asking all Local 21 Gallatin River - Lumen members to take the time to fill out the survey completely.
Deadline to participate is September 12, 2022.
To help members determine how the economics of the 2022 AT&T tentative agreement with AT&T affects them, we have developed a Wage Benefit Aid. It includes the economic gains for many job titles over the life of the contract vs the increase in monthly medical premiums. As you will see, the total economic package in the tentative agreement far exceeds the health-care cost sharing.
This update also contains the contract overview presentation that was shared at the August unit meetings includes the language changes in the 2022 AT&T Tentative Agreement.
