Why the IBEW Supports Joe Biden
Updated On: Oct 12, 2020

October 12, 2020

How you vote is a personal decision, but the IBEW has carefully reviewed both candidates’ records, and decided to endorse Joe Biden. He is a man of decency and good character who knows the challenges faced by working families. Joe listens to, and is shaped by, the counsel of others, like IBEW International President Lonnie R. Stephenson.

This November, we have the opportunity to elect a president who will fight with us and restore a country ravaged by an ongoing pandemic and economic devastation.  Joe Biden plans to increase broadband capacity while strictly enforcing prevailing wage laws, workplace protections and supporting the right of workers to organize and bargain collectively.

Lonnie R. Stephenson, IBEW International President has said, “Joe Biden is the best choice for the IBEW because he has taken the time to listen to what our members have to say about the biggest challenges facing our country. And that makes me confident that IBEW members will always have a seat at the table in a Biden administration.”  Read more about why the IBEW supports Joe Biden by clicking here

This election is more than just voting for our next President there are many state-wide races that affect us as Union members you can find Illinois and Indiana endorsements here.
