IBEW and AT&T Reach New 5 Year Agreement
Saturday, July 30, 2022 - 12:10pm (CDT) – This morning at 3:25 am, the IBEW System Council T-3 (SCT-3) and AT&T reached a tentative agreement on a new five-year contract covering approximately 3,000 union members working for the company nationwide primarily in Illinois and Northwest Indiana for the contract that has been extended since June 25, 2022.
The new five (5) year contract includes compounded wage increases that deal with rising inflation rates while controlling benefit cost increases. Many contract language improvements across various job titles have been negotiated as well as job protections for members who could be affected by changes in our rapidly evolving industry.
The IBEW SCT-3 leadership would like to thank all of their members for their patience and solidarity during the contract extensions that were needed to reach this agreement. The extensions gave your IBEW negotiators the time needed to bring home the best contract possible.
Your IBEW representatives will be working this weekend preparing information detailing the contractual changes, ratification and union meeting information for our members to review. These details will be provided in a series of releases starting early next week.
