IBEW 21 and Lake County, IN 911 Emergency Center Negotiations
Updated On: May 08, 2019

IBEW 21 and Lake County, IN 911 Emergency Center Negotiations

May   8, 2019 – The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 21(IBEW 21) and the Lake County, Indiana 911 Dispatch Center agreed to “accelerated bargaining” to renegotiate their collective bargaining agreement for Dispatch center employees that is set to expire on July 31, 2019.

Local 21 and Lake County agreed to bargain in good faith, in an attempt to reach an agreement for Dispatchers at Lake County Emergency Center during these “accelerated” negotiations. There are several issues that require discussion and immediate attention to achieve the best possible agreement for the Emergency Center and IBEW 21 members.

We at Local 21 would like to thank our members who took the time to complete their bargaining surveys, sent emails, made calls, and attended meetings. These will be challenging negotiations and we ask that ALL IBEW members be prepared to do their part in supporting their bargaining team. Updates on bargaining will only be released when necessary and can be found on the Local 21 website: ibew21.org.

IBEW Local 21 members can also sign up for email and text updates here

SOLIDARITY!
