On June 17^th, bargaining teams from the IBEW and CWA entered into joint negotiations with Johnson Controls, Inc. with the goal of achieving a fair Contract, which addressed our members concerns, by the expiration of the current Collective Bargaining Agreement, July 31, 2015.

After several days of meetings with the company, we remain cautiously optimistic that we can realize those goals.  The company has passed 28 proposals to us, and we have passed 18 proposals across the table to them, as well as numerous counter-proposals. On many of these proposals we have reached a tentative agreement (TA), and though several key issues still remain open subjects of bargaining, we have more days of bargaining scheduled, and are committed to bringing these negotiations to a successful conclusion.
