Fiber Preference at AT&T

C&E started a preference this morning for Fiber positions from within their existing head count. AT&T management has agreed with IBEW 21 representatives to seek volunteers from within the RCAs first. If there is a need to backfill they will again ask for volunteers.

Due to the need for skilled fiber techs, splicers already in fiber crews will not be canvassed. If splicers already in fiber crews would like to be in a different fiber location, please contact your chief steward.

AT&T management has given us a commitment to look at those individuals on a case by case basis. This preference ends Tuesday, November 12, 2013.  Please be sure to contact your chief steward with any questions or requests before then.
