A new tentative agreement has been reached between IBEW Local 21 and Comcast covering their employee’s working in Chicago’s Western Suburbs. Their current agreement expired on April 30, 2012. More details on the agreement can be found by clicking the headline above.
Summary of the New Comcast (West) Tentative Agreement
- 3 year Agreement
- Minimum Adjustment of $1.00 to current hourly rate plus 3.94% increase for all Service, System, and Headend Technicians. All CSSR’s/Warehouse members will receive a minimum of 3.94% wage increase and adjustments for some CSSR’s/Warehouse in addition to the 3.94% increase. These increases will become immediately effective upon ratification.
- 1.95% increase May 1, 2014
- Ratification signing bonus $500
- Increase in starting rates
- Increase in wage progression for Service, Maintenance and Head end techs
- Increase to the promotion wage language
- Pension language
- Holiday language
- Payment of lead-pay

Contract Overview and Ratification Vote

The Company has agreed to allow employees scheduled to work on Sunday to leave work at 4pm, with no loss of pay, not to exceed your normal scheduled work hours.
