Friday, December 13, 2019 (12:00 CST) – Today AT&T announced a surplus impacting 22 of their employees in Illinois. The job cuts will affect employees represented by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 21 (IBEW 21). The soonest off payroll dates will be in January 2020.
Voluntary Separation Packages – VSIPP
Voluntary Separation Packages (VSIPP) are available to eligible employees who are not affected by today’s surplus announcement as defined in Article 30.43 of our AT&T Contract. If you would like to save the job of someone whose job is at risk, please consider turning in your VSIPP application today.
If you are interested, contact your manager. You must electronically file for a VSIPP by 5 p.m. (CST) Wednesday, December 18, 2019. The soonest off payroll dates should be in February 2020.
We are aware there may be issues accessing the VSIPP form from the company website. The Company installed another layer of security to view and input information on the VSIPP form. You need your AT&T User ID and your IT Services Password to reach the form. If you are having issues call 888-850-4609 for help.
If you have trouble accessing the form you must talk to your manager!

1 - Telecommunication Specialist - Des Plaines (Technologies Operations Organization)
5 - Administrative Specialist - 555 E Cook (Springfield)
3 - Engineering Assistant - Blue Island (C&E Design)
3 - Engineering Assistant - Oak Brook (C&E Planning)
1 - Engineering Assistant - Peoria (C&E Planning)
General Sipp
A General SIPP is being offered and a surplus was not declared for:
12 - Telecommunication Specialist - 10 S Canal (Chicago – Global Service Assurance Center)
15 - Customer Account Specialist – Peoria
1 - Technical Associate - Peoria
Employees in these groups who are interested in taking a SIPP must have their paperwork in by 5 p.m. (CST) Friday, December 27, 2019.The soonest off payroll dates will be in January 2020.
