JULIE Bargaining Update
Updated On: Oct 27, 2017

October 27, 2017

Bargaining with JULIE began on October 10, 2017 and we have met with management several times since then.  We have had discussions on many articles of our collective bargaining agreement which expires on November 15, 2017.

So far we have discussed: Article 1 – Representation and Recognition, Article 8 – Layoff and Recall, Article 11 – Weekly Work Tours, Article 13 – Overtime,  Article 14 – Holidays, Article 17 – Vacations, Article 18 – Funeral Pay, Article 23 – Grievance Procedure, Article 26 – Terms of Agreement, Exhibit A – Salary Schedule, Exhibit B – Paid Time Off, Exhibit C – Benefit Plans, Exhibit D – Life Insurance, Exhibit G – Vacation Selection Process,  Exhibit H – Savings and Security Plan, Exhibit J – Work at Home.

Many proposals have been passed back and forth.  While we try to move forward management has passed regressive proposals.  They currently want to eliminate your paid lunch periods.  It will take the solidarity of all our members to reach a fair contract.  We all must stand in solidarity!

If you are or know of a JULIE member who has not signed up for IBEW 21 text or email alerts you can sign up on our webpage here.
