DirectSat Technicians in South Holland voted to become members of IBEW Local 21 in 2014.  Since then management took benefits away from their workers.  They paid union avoidance attorneys to deny workers their right to obtain a first contract.  IBEW 21 and these workers have been fighting back.  Numerous charges were filed with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) who ruled that the company must pay the workers.

While the company hasn’t negotiated for the past year.  Union busters were successful in getting a decertification election filed.  Just this week the NLRB ruled on the Board Charges we filed, confirming that DirectSat is violating the National Labor Relations Act and has been bargaining in bad faith.

Join your IBEW 21 sisters and brothers on Wednesday August 2nd when they vote Union YES and reject managements attempt to break them.  The voting will take place at 401 W Taft Drive in South Holland.  We need IBEW 21 supporters to show up from 6:30 – 9:30 a.m. to cheer the workers on and let them know they have the entire Labor Movement behind them.
