The AT&T Annual Benefit Enrollment period is about to begin!
Oct 15, 2015

Timeline

The AT&T Open Enrollment period for 2016 benefits will run from October 19th at 7:00 a.m. to October 30th at 7:00 p.m. Corrections can be made during the 2 weeks following the enrollment period.

An Annual Enrollment Guide was distributed electronically via company email, on October 1st. The AE Guide is a clickable PDF so you can advance to your topic of choice without having to go through the entire document.

A company email reminder advising “Annual Enrollment is Here” will be distributed on October 19th, followed by an “Annual Enrollment is Almost Over” reminder on October 27th.

If you signed up for eBenefits you will also receive these via your personal email on file with the AT&T Benefits Center. Employees who have opted for text communication with the AT&T Benefits Center you will also receive notification via text messages prior to Annual Enrollment.

Contributions for Active Full-Time Employees

Monthly Contributions for 2016 Bargained Plan Options will be as follows:

Medical Contributions for those hired
before January 1st, 2014:

Individual $90 Family $195

For 2016 CarePlus will offer a new service to cover Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) for Autism Spectrum Disorders. Employees enrolled in CarePlus at the family level of coverage will have access to this new service. ABA service details will be outlined in a new CarePlus document, either a Summary of Materials Modification or a new Summary Plan Description, being released by the later this year.

There are no changes to the Prescription Drug, Dental, and Vision Plans.

Enrollment Process

The AT&T Benefits Enrollment website will list those currently enrolled, anyone who has had coverage in the past, and also anyone currently in the process of being certified. Each name is preceded by a box. Make sure the boxes for your eligible dependents are checked and also be sure to uncheck any boxes for those who are no longer eligible for coverage.

Your available plan options will be listed with a basic comparison chart for each. You can click on the Plan Details for each plan or check the boxes for multiple plans to compare the Plan Details. Once you have made a decision you can click “Keep” for your current plan or “Choose” for a new plan option. Your elected plan and a list of Who’s Covered will be displayed.

At this point you will be given the option to select paying for your coverage on a before-tax or after-tax basis. The default setting is before-tax unless you have elected to pay on an after-tax basis in the past. If that’s the case be sure to change it as needed. You will go through this process for each of your benefits (i.e. Medical, Dental, Vision, Life).

Don’t forget to enroll in a Health Care FSA or Dependent Care FSA if needed. This is the only time of the year in which you can enroll in a flexible spending account.

Once you have reviewed your choices click ENROLL. An email confirmation will be available in the AT&T Benefits Center Secure inbox for 180 days after completion of your enrollment. You can view it and print a copy for your records.

If you have signed up for text or email communication and made changes to your current options you will receive a confirmation text or email from the company with a notice of change. The text or email will not provide change details. The details will only be available in the Benefits Center Secure Inbox.
