Earlier this week we asked IBEW 21 members to attend meetings where local governments were considering passing a resolution that would be harmful to all workers in Illinois. We would like to start by saying thank-you. You made a difference. In every community where IBEW Local 21 members made their voices heard the harmful resolutions were not adopted.

The struggle for working families is not over.  Next week (4/27-5/1) more communities are considering the Governor's Turnaround Agenda. If you live in these areas, make your opposition heard.

• Jefferson County Board (Mt. Vernon): Monday, April 27, 7 p.m., Jefferson County Courthouse, 100 S.10th St.
• Lexington City Council (McLean County): Monday, April 27, 7:30 p.m., 329 W. Main St.
• Village of Mahomet (Champaign County): Tuesday, April 28, 6 p.m., 503 E. Main Street.
• Kane County Board Committee of the Whole (Geneva): Tuesday, April 28, 4 p.m. 719 S Batavia Ave, Bldg. A, County Board Room.

There are 1,300 cities and villages and 102 counties in Illinois if you are aware that a body of government is going to put the item on their agenda please let us know.
