July 23, 2014
The IBEW 21 Days of Giving Back to School Supply Drive kicked off last week. As many of you should already know some of our Sisters and Brothers across our jurisdiction recently lost their jobs because of corporate downsizing. We also have members who have serious medical issues or are experiencing economic setbacks that now make it difficult to provide for their families as they were able to in the past.
We need to help these Sisters and Brothers. If you are a member or know of a member who was recently laid off or who is experiencing a serious economic hardship and would directly benefit from the back to school donations please contact Bob Przybylinski, Jacquie Fields or Dave Webster in the IBEW Local 21 Union Hall.
In addition to Local 21 families in need, donations will also benefit My Joyful Heart and in Central Illinois our members would like to help those served by the Vermilion County Salvation Army.
Free School Supplies at Menards
Menards is offering rebates on school supplies through August 2nd. You can buy up to 10 packs of pens and 10 notebooks and receive a rebate covering the full cost of the items. They also have a $4 rebate on backpacks bringing your final cost down to only $3. The rebates are #324, #326, and #327. This is a great way to donate to the back to school supply drive.
Find out more about the deal here.
The IBEW 21 Days of Giving Back to School Supply drive is taking place from July 13 - August 2, 2014. We are asking every IBEW 21 member to donate a minimum of $1 and school supplies.
Thank-you KC Battisfore and Alex Glavin for volunteering
at the Mercy Home picnic on Saturday.
