IBEW & AT&T Extend Core Contract to July 15th

Wednesday, July 6, 2022 - 9:30pm (CDT) - The IBEW SCT-3 Council and AT&T have agreed to once again extend their current Core collective bargaining agreement while talks to reach a new contract continue. 

The agreement, which covers approximately 3,000 employees working for AT&T nationwide, primarily in Illinois and Northwest Indiana, was originally set to expire on June 25, 2022. The extension of the current contract was set to expire today, July 6, 2022 at 11:59 PM.

The current Core collective bargaining agreement is now extended through 11:59 PM on Friday, July 15, 2022.

Significant progress has been made on several non-economic issues since June 25, 2022.  There are other non-economic concerns that still need to be considered. 

IBEW member’s pocket book issues are still being addressed.  Representatives from AT&T must realize that their workforce is facing considerable stress based on the current state of the economy, the continuing pandemic and other forces that are beyond the control of the average worker in the United States.  IBEW members who work for AT&T continue to go above and beyond the call.  It is time for AT&T to reward these employees for their hard work.
