Today, AT&T announced they will be reducing headcount by offering a General SIPP to their employees represented by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 21 (IBEW 21). 

No layoff has been declared! 

Discussions took place between IBEW 21 representatives and AT&T management.  The outcome of those talks led to the announcement of a General SIPP Offer and a potential surplus was avoided. 

General SIPP offers will be offered to Service Representatives, Sales Consultants and Technical Associates at Consumer call centers located in Rock Island and Chicago.

Customer Account Specialists in the Peoria Credit & Collections center will also be eligible for the General SIPP. 

Employees interested in voluntarily leaving the payroll must turn in their SIPP paperwork by March 29, 2018 at 5pm (CDT).

The last day on payroll for employees who accept the Rock Island/ Chicago SIPP offer will be April 14, 2018.
