Governor Cuts Kids Funding – You Can Help
Nov 20, 2015

November 20, 2015

The kids in Illinois need your help.  The Governor is using the budget battle he created to hold hostage funds meant to help children and the working poor.

Some of the charities we are assisting with our IBEW 21 Days of Giving Toy and Coat Drive have seen their funding withheld while other organizations are seeing the need for their services increase because the funds that were supposed to help children in need have been cut.  No matter what side of the fence you are on we can all agree harming kids for political reasons is wrong.

We as Union members can right this wrong.  We are asking you to please donate to the IBEW 21 Days of Giving Toy and Coat Drive.  Your donations will allow us to provide warmth for a child without a coat and brighten the holidays for a child who might not otherwise receive a gift.  You can donate now online by clicking here.

Please talk to your coworkers and set up a Toy and Coat Collection area in your work location.

If you are an IBEW 21 member, retiree, a friend of ours or someone who wants to make a difference in a child’s life please donate now by clicking here.

You can also send or drop off donations at the IBEW Local 21 Union office located at 1307 Butterfield Road Suite 422, Downers Grove, IL 60515.  For more information please email Recording Secretary Bob Przybylinski, Treasurer Jacquie Fields or Business Representative Dave Webster or call them at 630-960-4466.

Together Union members are making a difference in the communities where we live and work.
