Apr 24, 2015 - Workers Memorial Day 2015
Jun 04, 2015

On Tuesday, April 28th, Workers Memorial Day we ask all IBEW 21 members to remember those whose lives were lost and those who were injured as a result of workplace accidents.  Honor their memory by talking about safety in your workplace and renewing your vow to work safely.  Please also wear your union pin, shirt or hat to work.

Watch this video about your rights here.

You have the right to a safe workplace. Employers must provide their employees with working conditions that are free of known dangers. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) sets and enforces protective workplace safety and health standards.

Learn more by watching OSHA’s PSA here.

Twelve workers die each day from hazards that could have been prevented that’s twelve workers each day who will never again return home to their families.  Always remember no job is so important and no service is so urgent that we cannot take time to perform our work safely.
