The scholarship committee met and is proud to announce the winners of the 2014 IBEW Local Union 21 Scholarships.  The applicants were required to submit their qualifications and a 1500 word essay which included a brief summary of the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) and how it could be improved to help today’s middle class workers. 

As in the previous years, all the scholarship packages were reviewed, essays removed, and coded by the Local 21 clerical staff before they were seen by the committee. When the committee read the essays, they had no knowledge of the author until after they chose the winners.
